The Small Business Show – SOHO Rochester 2008, is coming up on Wednesday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is the 7th year for the only Rochester business show customized for Small Business and SOHO (which stands for small office, home office) owners, managers, employees and entrepreneurs of companies with 30 employees or fewer. The show is also open to anyone who is looking to start a business, as well as executives who have home offices.

This is a great opportunity to network! Attendees will see over 100 display booths with a varied cross-section of companies providing products, services and resources to small business. Plus, attendees can meet other show attendees that include Business Alliance members, new DBA’s, professional business-small business-associations members and various Rochester small business owners. This show will give you plenty of information and resources to help you compete and expand your small business. Plus if you are starting a new business, this show will prove to be invaluable to you!

SOHO Rochester is not a job fair or a place for companies to solicit attendees or exhibitors. This show is focused to help give small business owners and entrepreneurs the options available for their companies, presented by our exhibitors and sponsors.

Attendees will be able to gain valuable information for their businesses as well with a variety of presentations, by some of our sponsors, on small business topics at the show. The presentations will be 30 to 45 minutes in length, and include: 11am “The Dynamics Of Direct Mail” – INTEGRATED MARKETING; 12pm “Five Legal Mistakes Your Business May Be Making and How To Correct Them” – DAWSON LAW FIRM P.C.; 1pm “Small Business is Big Business” – AT&T MOBILITY; 2pm “Achieve Brand Integrity” – SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL OF ROCHESTER PRESENTS GREGG LEDERMAN.

From 3pm to 4:30pm Network Rochester will be hosting in the Presentation Area wine tasting and food sampling along with entertainment from Maria DeSantis.

Attendees of the show can also sample some great food from the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, C&C Creations and Colby’s Pig Roast Catering. Also you can win prizes at the show including airfare for two anywhere on the Air Tran Airways route system courtesy of VIP Travel Service: a pair of season tickets to the Rochester Redwings; and a company outing for 20 at a Rochester Amerks hockey game, with recognition on the scoreboard & an autographed hockey stick.
